Mr. Ulrich
Rep. And Dev. Minicourse
We in the Biology
Department know how much students love to write papers so we thought we would
deprive you of the pleasures of another writing assignment and force you to do
something creative, artsy-craftsy and instructive:
You're going to make a picture book.
Once again, here are some guidelines to help you get yet another fabulous grade.
q
Being a picture book, you’re going
to need…..pictures! I can provide you with the pictures of each stage of
embryogenesis, but they aren't half as creative as they could be.
Get lame pictures here.
q All pictures should be adequately labeled.
q Include a detailed description of what is happening at each stage. Some stages such as gastrulation will require quite a bit of information to be thorough enough. On the other hand, the first few mitotic divisions of morulation do not require that much describing (give me some information though).
q Your book should include all stages from sperm and egg through to the three germ-layered gastrula. Neuralation is extra credit
q Neatness counts
q Be creative. It’ll boost your grade.
q Projects are due on June 4, 2007. Don’t slack. Your final is 6/12!!
